Sclerotherapy is a form of treatment where a prescription medication is injected into leg veins causing them to shrink. It is commonly used to treat spider veins.

The procedure is non-surgical, requiring only an injection. 

 

Veins that respond to treatment generally don't come back, but new veins may appear.
